After Steven Thornton successfully completed a 6 month  apprenticeship programme within the business last year P2 Technologies have welcomed their newest apprentice, Sarah. Sarah is on the ‘Microsoft Advanced Apprenticeship Programme’ and aims to develop her customer service skills and technical skills in the ‘real world’ during her time with P2. In addition, Sarah will receive industry standard qualifications by studying with QA, the UK’s leading training company.

BNH Associates Moves To IT Anywhere

Legal service firm BNH Associates recently employed Yorkshire IT specialist, P2 Technologies, to reduce capital expenditure during an office relocation.

BNH recently moved offices and was having capacity and performance problems with its existing IT system. Leading Modular And Portable Building Supplier Improves IT With Virtual Server From P2 Technologies

Thurston Building Systems is a leading provider of premium quality modular and portable buildings. Thurston has employed the services of Yorkshire based business IT support specialist P2 Technologies Ltd to implement a virtual server solution.

When Thurston came to P2 they were using Microsoft Exchange 2003 as its email platform running on old server hardware which was slowing down business processes and affecting productivity. P2 installed new server hardware from Dell and deployed Microsoft Windows 2008 Server system running virtualisation technology: Hyper-V. Hyper-V consolidates multiple server roles on to one physical server, lowering physical server hardware costs and improving server utilisation and administration.

P2 migrated the email system to Microsoft Exchange 2007, moving staff on to the new platform seamlessly. Thurston can now take advantage of new features in Exchange 2007 such as increased mobile and flexible access to emails, enhanced security and improved management tools.
