Another Milestone for P2

P2 Technologies has passed another milestone in the company’s relatively short lifetime. Having only been trading for 9 months, P2 has now signed up its 50th client for IT and Telephony solutions.
Director Martin Page comments: “We are building a strong professional sector customer base and this achievement is testament to the quality-driven expertise of the staff behind P2 and our fresh, unobtrusive approach to technology.
It is our belief that technology is straightforward and we want our customers to share that view: solutions based around an understanding of their business needs work better and offer a higher return on investment.
We are continuing to push forward with new products and services based on listening to our customers, and we have more exciting developments to come.”
P2 is a Microsoft Certified Partner

P2 Technologies is pleased to announce that it has become a Microsoft Certified Partner with the Network Infrastructure Competency giving customers a greater level of support and product options to choose from.
Microsoft Certified Partner status has been attained based on the number of highly qualified Microsoft staff, and customer references from projects that have been completed by P2.
The Networking Infrastructure Competency is for Microsoft technology partners who have proven expertise in delivering technology solutions based on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Operating Systems and Small Business Server 2003.
Martin Page Director comments "This is only the beginning of where we can go with technology whether that is software or an IT managed service offering. We are already well on our way to becoming a Microsoft Gold Partner, strengthening our position of what we can offer with Microsoft products and also increasing our impression to customers that we can demonstrate that P2 has real ambition and ability to flexibly deliver solutions based on customer needs."
Legal Software Solutions specialist joins P2 Technologies

Legal software solutions specialist Graham Moore joined P2 Technologies as Technical Director on 1st December 2007 as part of P2's commitment to supporting their customers with professional software solutions along with the existing IT and telephony products and services.
Graham spent 16 years leading the development of software solutions as Technical Director of Videss Ltd (now Iris Legal) before leaving to pursue other interests in 2006. During this period he oversaw the design of the Legal Office and Visual Office products as well as the implementation of solutions for over 100 Legal practices in the UK. Graham also brings broader experience from the last 2 years working as IT Director of a 250 seat financial services call centre.
Commenting on the move, Graham says: 'I see this as a fantastic opportunity to extend the P2 philosophy of great products and outstanding customer service into the area of legal software solutions. There is huge potential for synergy between the telephony and internet infrastructure we can provide, and the business applications that will run on that infrastructure.'
Roger Pearson of P2 adds: 'There is a real need for someone like P2 with a clear vision of Professional Software Solutions to fill the gap between PMS/CMS systems and the unique demands of our customers partners, staff and their own clients and suppliers. We are over the moon to have Graham at P2 – our customers will benefit enormously from his experience and his ability to understand and improve their business processes with our smart technology.'
P2 gets Microsoft Network Infrastructure Competency

The Networking Infrastructure Solutions Competency is for Microsoft technology partners who have proven expertise in delivering technology solutions based on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Operating Systems and Small Business Server 2003.
These implementations may include crafting solutions that connect servers, PC locations and the Internet, installing multiple server environments or a single Windows Small Business Server that includes file and print functionality whilst running database applications.
Director Martin Page comments: 'Microsoft competencies are attained from technical accreditations earned by our staff, and having customers provide feedback to Microsoft on solutions that we have delivered to power their business. P2 has delivered innovative products that can give our customers stable and powerful back office functionality running their core systems. Runner Up New Business Rising Star of the Year

P2 Technologies came runner up in the New Business Rising Star of the Year Awards, which is presented to the new start-up business less than 18 months old in Kirklees. The award is for companies which have demonstrated significant innovation, creativity and potential. Considering the short time we have been trading compared to the other businesses that were shortlisted, we are extremely proud to have been nominated, and consider it a great achievement.
Martin Page comments, 'We were surprised to be nominated in the first place as we haven't been going that long, however I think customers can see that we have a different fresh approach to applying technology in business and that is putting us in good stead, winning orders and working existing technology already invested in by customers smarter. New customers have been surprised about our support in that we are quick to fix problems and we keep customers informed all the way. We are not trying to do anything new we just enjoy what we do and that shows through.'
Martin continues, 'We have almost 40 customers already and we are just about to take on our fifth member of staff to complement the 'can do' attitude of all staff at P2. We have invested in monitoring and management systems and a knowledgebase to pool customer information in to an easy to read database for ease of support to prevent customers repeating themselves when they need help. P2 is committed to continually investing in the development of staff and innovative products and services for new and existing customers.'
P2 Shortlisted for New Business Award

P2 Technologies Ltd has been shortlisted for the Huddersfield Business Awards 'New Business Rising Star Of The Year Award' for 2007.
Presented by The Huddersfield Daily Examiner the award is for the new start-up business, less than 18 months old, in the Kirklees region, which has shown significant innovation and creativity, and demonstrated potential for future high growth.
'We have some really exciting developments planned within the company over the next six months, which will give our customers a greater range of products and services to increase the efficiency of their businesses,' said Director Martin Page, 'and it’s fantastic to be recognised for all we have achieved so far.'

One lucky Huddersfield Business has won £5000 worth of expert IT Support by taking part in an on-line Market Research project sponsored by P2 Technologies Ltd.
Eaton Smith was selected from a number of businesses who completed an on-line questionnaire designed by ask Strategic Marketing & Research. 'Eaton Smith have always kept abreast of IT Technology and constantly improved our systems but the opportunity of having an independent review of our systems is a brilliant prize and it will no doubt result in yet further improvements to the service that we give to our many customers' commented Steven Pollitt, Partner.
Lockwood based P2 Technologies Ltd offer bespoke IT and telephony support to businesses throughout the Yorkshire Region, and attribute their success to their enthusiastic and fresh approach to IT.
The competition was devised to explore the IT Services that modern businesses require. Roger Pearson, Director of P2 Technologies explains 'This market research shows that business leaders want expert advice when selecting technology, particularly advice which shows them the business benefits of technology and how it will return on their investment. This is echoed elsewhere in the study where respondents find the decision making process of IT procurement taxing and that it is also difficult to control their IT budget. At P2 we have always believed strongly in listening to our customers, hence this market research, and we will continue to develop and improve our winning proposition in line with these findings.'
P2 Technologies merges with Leeds-based IT services provider

On the 3rd August 2007, P2 Technologies Ltd completed their acquisition, of Leeds-based IT services provider Hapi Systems to become a unified provider of smart working IT and Telephony Solutions.
P2 Technologies is quickly becoming established as a provider of smart working IT and Telephony Solutions and with an extremely strong financial footing has recently been recognised by Yorkshire Forward as a leading technology services provider.
With a local focus, an enviable reputation for down to earth advice and personal, attentive service, P2 Technologies Ltd is ideally placed to take HAPI Systems forwards.
Also joining will be Hapi Systems’ Technical Manager Mark McManus, helping to ensure a smooth transition to all of Hapi’s existing customer base, while also expanding P2’s skill and knowledge base.

New team member Mark Smith joins the P2 team

University graduate Mark Smith joined P2 Technologies on the 30th July 2007, after impressing directors Martin Page and Roger Pearson whilst on a year-long work placement at their previous company.
Mark recently completed a BSc Hons Computing (Networks) degree at Sheffield Hallam University, and on his previous work placement worked on a variety of projects, including multi-office environments, terminal server implementations, and advanced fibre clusters.
In addition to working on similar larger projects in the future, Mark will also be part of P2’s support desk team, providing telephone, email and on-site support services to our customers.
'I am very pleased to be working for such a forward thinking company as P2', says Mark, 'and I can’t wait to put the knowledge learnt at university into practice in the real world.'
